Summer Adventure Camp at Granite Gorge
Granite Gorge is pleased to announce their new summer day camp. Offering an affordable option for parents in the Keene and Monadnock region, Granite Gorge’s camp will run Monday-Friday from June 19, 2017 until August 11, 2017 from 8:00am- 4:30pm (with aftercare available until 5:30pm). Located just 5 minutes from downtown Keene, Granite Gorge is convenient for drop-off and pickup.
Offering a variety of activities including hiking, archery, kickball, softball, Frisbee golf, soccer, swimming at Otter Brook Lake Beach, arts and crafts, cooking, fishing, slip and slide and much more; Granite Gorge’s camp provides a unique and fun alternative for children ages 6 and older to get outside, make friends and have the summer of their lives!
Campers ages 10 and up may choose to participate in a unique one-night camp out overnight twice throughout the session. After pickup time, campers and staff will go for a hike, pitch tents, make a campfire, cook and enjoy dinner (provided), make s’mores and sing campfire songs. Campers will return in the morning (after breakfast-provided) with time to participate in activities the next day.
Led by camp (and snow sports) director Adam Kaufman, children will be with members of our fully trained staff at all times throughout the day. Adam comes to Granite Gorge with 6 years of experience in all aspects of camping at a premier children’s camp in New York state. Staff to camper ratio will be maintained at no higher than 1 to 10.
